PENN MUSEUM

This project was my first introduction into wayfinding design. The project started with choosing a location to visit and documenting their current wayfinding system. I then had to analyze the system and come up with any areas we thought it could be improved. My location was the Penn Museum in Philadelphia. This presentation will take you through every stage of the process, from documentation to the final designs for the full signage system. I thoroughly enjoyed each step of this project, found myself very interested in wayfinding design by the end and now pursuing it as a career path.

These are images from my Wayfinding Analysis: Strategic Plan, outlining the full design process for this proposed wayfinding system. It documents each stage of development, beginning with site analysis and existing conditions, and progressing through schematic design and design development. Each page includes a title and brief description explaining the specific phase of the project at that point. The plan concludes with Photo Drop-Ins, which visualize the proposed signage within real-world site conditions to demonstrate how the system would function in context.
